Default Ranger armor-shining blade

I was taking one of my factions characters back to Tyria to run through the missions and pick up skills and I was completing the Wilds mission when i remembered how cool the shinning blade ranger's armor is. Especially Saidra who's got an awesome hood incorporated into her armor(for picts etc go here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Saidra)

I was thinking that since there's been rumors(don't know if they're confirmed yet at this point) that the next chapter is supposed to take place in a more northern/mountainous realm that this armor(which is primarily cloth with light leather shoulder armor and the awesome green hood) would look really well.

I always thougth that the shinning blade rangers had some of the best looking armor of the NPCs so if Anet is in need of some inspiration for new ranger armors i think they should base something off of those.

I know we already have a druid's set but it seems weird that this is the only "natural" based armor for a class who's spells(nature rituals, beastmastery, etc) seem to have a very "nature-ish" feel to them.

thoughts?

I've always wanted something similar to the Shining Blade armor for my Ranger. I love that they have quivers on their backs

Lore wise, it wouldn't make any sense to give us most npc armors and just making a slight variation of it wouldn't make sense either.

I agree with you that it wouldn't make sense to have the shining blade armor exactly(or even strongly similar) with regards to lore but i think that their clothing is generic enough(tunics, hoods, leather shoulder plate armor, etc) that with a bit of creativity a completely unique armor for playable characters could be created.
I more want to see the cloth+leather forest ranger look explored in more ranger armors besides the druids as i think it fits well with the class and needs a new skin since druids(which is still an awesome skin) came out so long ago.
Also the quivers and/or hoods that are part of the shining blade armor look awesome and since they're already in-game it might be easier to implement code-wise.
I guess i want them to be used as inspiration...rather than pure duplication because i do agree with you on the grounds that this would screw up the lore a bit, which is never a good thing if avoidable.
